A video and podcast recounting the first ten years of the Triulza Foundation
Ten years ago, on July 13, 2013, the Triulza Foundation was established with the aim of participating in EXPO Milano 2015 and managing the first Civil Society Pavilion in the history of Universal Expositions: Cascina Triulza. For the first time in Italy, a group of NGOs and organizations from the third sector and civil economy, with very different objectives and activities, decided to invest resources and energy to build a unified project and participate as protagonists in Expo 2015. The project will be called "EXPlOding Energies to Change the World" and will be shared and supported by philanthropic organizations such as Fondazione Cariplo, other civil society organizations, and numerous for-profit companies, local authorities, and public institutions.

Participating in this unique experience has made Fondazione Triulza and its network of founders and partners more resilient and innovative, able to respond to new challenges, work on new insights and relationships to create new projects with a positive impact on people, communities, and territories.

This legacy, left by the Expo experience, has been a valuable asset to be promoted: for this reason, once the Expo ended, together with our network of 70 organizations, we chose to remain united and continue working together on the MIND Milano Innovation District site. Together, we continue to bring to life innovative projects with social impact, in line with the principles that have always defined our identity: sustainable development, social innovation, community involvement, especially among the younger generations, inclusion, participation, and active citizenship.

All this has led Fondazione Triulza to set up pioneering and forward-looking initiatives that have earned us recognition in recent years as one of the leading players in Italy and also in Europe (we have just been recognized as an EU Social Economy Cluster) in promoting social innovation in the Third Sector and in MIND Milano Innovation District, Milan's new innovation laboratory and paradigm for the cities of the future.

The Video: from EXPO Milano 2015 to MIND Milano Innovation District
We wanted to recount the main steps and milestones in a short video featuring Sabina Siniscalchi and Sergio Silvotti (former vice president and former president of Fondazione Triulza) together with our President Massimo Minelli. The video is available at this link: https://youtu.be/09ElcaenEjQ

The Podcast: the Social Innovation Academy at MIND
The Produzioni dal Basso podcast explores one of the most important initiatives of Fondazione Triulza and its network of founders and partners: the Social Innovation Academy. Operating at MIND since 2018, it focuses on social innovation and the promotion of a new model of social economy, giving rise to strategic initiatives such as the Social Innovation Campus—which involves thousands of young people every year—and capacity building and technology transfer courses for cooperatives and social-tech companies. The Social Innovation Academy is a laboratory that promotes the cross-fertilization of knowledge inside and outside MIND, a space for co-design and collaboration open to everyone: the third sector, civil economy, philanthropic organizations, universities and research centers, public institutions, finance, and companies, bringing together profit and non-profit, public and private sectors to collaborate on innovation and social impact.

All this is recounted by Mario Calderini, professor at the Politecnico di Milano, member of the Board of Directors of Fondazione Triulza and President of the Scientific Committee of the Academy and Campus, and Chiara Pennasi, Director of Fondazione Triulza, in this episode of the podcast: https://bit.ly/aepxmind
