Narry Kim is a professor at the College of Life Sciences and Biotechnology at Seoul National University and the founding director of the RNA Research Center at the Institute for Basic Science. Educated at Seoul National University, Oxford University, and the University of Pennsylvania, she established her laboratory in 2001 to study RNA biology.
His work has been instrumental in defining microRNA pathways, including the identification and mechanistic characterization of DROSHA, and in revealing how non-canonical RNA tailing regulates microRNA, mRNA, and viral RNA. More recently, his research has elucidated the cellular pathways that regulate the delivery and control of mRNA therapies.
She has received major international awards, including the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Award, and is a member of the KAS, the US National Academy of Sciences, EMBO, and the Royal Society.
