Wednesday, February 25: Social Innovation Campus Opening Event

TheOpening Event – a unique opportunity to find inspiration from different worlds and also from young people's projects – will take place on Wednesday, February 25, at MIND and will explore the theme "Talents 4 Social Innovation. Places of the Future," i.e., the physical but also immaterial places of social innovation in which to build relationships, skills, and opportunities for the sustainable and peaceful development of the future.

It will begin with a dialogue between Marina Brambilla, Germanist and Rector of the University of Milan, and Mario Calderini, economist at the Polytechnic University of Milan, on the importance of intangibles for the development of sustainable and inclusive places. Following this, the young people who are the protagonists of the Campus will take to the stage to ask questions to the stakeholders of MIND, a place where an innovation district is emerging.

Once again, young people – university and ITS students who won theSTEM Talent Hackathon for Social Innovation – will participate in a discussion with Giovanni Azzone, President of Fondazione Cariplo, and Matteo Mille, Chief Sales E&O Microsoft, on the topic of technologies for personal autonomy and accessibility to cultural sites.

The second part will be dedicated to the value of cooperation in working towards sustainable development, even in contexts of competition, with the show "Us or them. That is the dilemma," curated by Taxi 1729, and with a dialogue between young cooperators and representatives from the world of civil economy and entrepreneurship.
